Founder Vivienne Henry - McLeish

Vivienne Henry, affectionately known as "LadyVee," is a multifaceted leader and the founder of Fancy Frenz. Originally from Kentyre in east rural St. Andrew, she laid her academic foundation at Ardenne High School before earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from the University of Technology. Since migrating to the United States in 2001, she has cultivated a diverse professional portfolio, including a background in real estate and over a decade of dual leadership roles as a Flight Attendant with JetBlue and a Transportation Manager with the Long Island Railroad.


Beyond her corporate achievements, Vivienne is a dynamic communicator and motivational speaker who thrives in the spotlight as a wedding emcee and event host. Her career is defined by a relentless drive to "push the envelope," using her platform to inspire and energize those around her. This passion for engagement and her self-motivated nature have made her a sought-after voice in both professional and social circles.


The vision for Fancy Frenz was sparked in 2017 by the transformative mandate to "Stop Talking… Start Doing." What began as a resonant message and a viral social media post has blossomed into a thriving organization dedicated to uplifting underserved communities across Jamaica. As Founder, Vivienne remains committed to turning inspiration into action, ensuring her island home benefits from the collective resources and heart of the Fancy Frenz network.

Akilah Rance – Director/Secretary - US

Akilah Rance is a dedicated educator and Project Manager for Fancy Frenz, where she oversees the organization’s annual mission trips to Jamaica. A proud American with Jamaican roots, Akilah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in General and Special Education. Her transition into the field of education was inspired by her journey as a mother to a daughter with special needs, fueling a lifelong commitment to advocacy and empowerment for families navigating similar paths.


With a diverse professional background spanning business management, event planning, and cosmetology, Akilah brings a multifaceted skill set to her leadership roles. Currently a high school Special Education teacher, she combines her entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for mentorship. She is widely recognized for her resourcefulness and creativity, serving as a vital support system for mothers of children with special needs and a guiding force for her students in the classroom.


Akilah’s work is deeply rooted in her faith in God and a "servant-leadership" philosophy. Since joining Fancy Frenz in 2017, she has utilized her organizational expertise to bridge the gap between resources and underserved communities. Driven by a heart for service and a belief in the organization’s mission, she remains focused on creating sustainable, positive impacts for the less fortunate both in the United States and across Jamaica.

Karen Davis - Director - US

Karen is a versatile professional and entrepreneur whose career is defined by a lifelong commitment to excellence and service. Holding a BBA in Accounting from Pace University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from NYU, she possesses the rare distinction of being both a licensed CPA and a Registered Nurse. After a decade in public accounting as a tax specialist, Karen transitioned into nursing to impact lives in a more tangible way, blending her analytical background with a deep-seated passion for healthcare and human connection.


As the founder of The Waffle Chic Inc., Karen leverages her creative spirit to encourage others to “eat outside the box.” Her business success serves as a platform for her philanthropic goals, with her company acting as a key sponsor for charitable initiatives. Whether through her professional licensure or her entrepreneurial ventures, Karen’s work is consistently rooted in her Christian faith and a purpose-driven desire to be a part of the solution for those in need.


A dedicated member of Fancy Frenz Jamaica since 2017, Karen now serves as one of five board members guiding the organization’s strategic growth. She has been instrumental in expanding outreach efforts, frequently traveling to her native Jamaica to lead mission trips and provide direct support to underserved communities. Based in New York with her husband and son, Karen continues to integrate her financial expertise and nursing experience to foster lasting social change.

Tanya Graham - Director - JM

Tanya Sireeta Graham is a veteran educator with two decades of experience across multiple levels of the academic system. Her distinguished career is rooted in a deep-seated passion for guiding young minds and inspiring students to pursue excellence in all facets of life. An alumna of Ardenne High School, Tanya holds a Bachelor’s degree and postgraduate credentials in education from the University of Technology, as well as a Master’s degree from the University of the West Indies.


Having been raised in one of Kingston’s underserved communities, Tanya brings a unique and empathetic perspective to her professional and philanthropic work. She is dedicated to helping others unlock their full potential, often going above and beyond to provide the mentorship and resources necessary for success. Her journey from Spanish Town to becoming a leader in education serves as a testament to her belief in the transformative power of academic achievement.


As one of the three local Directors for Fancy Frenz, Tanya leverages her extensive background in education and community development to serve the less fortunate across Jamaica. In this leadership role, she is instrumental in identifying and meeting the physical and developmental needs of the island’s most vulnerable populations. Through her work with the charity, she continues to fulfill her mission of creating positive, lasting influence within the communities that shaped her

Janice Matthews-Chin - Director/ Secretary - JM

Janice is an accomplished finance professional with over 30 years of experience in Jamaica’s banking and insurance sectors. Driven by a lifelong commitment to academic excellence, she earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Technology and a Master’s in Banking and Finance from the University of the West Indies (Mona). Currently serving as a Credit Controller at the Sagicor Group, Janice has built a distinguished career defined by technical precision and a reputation for efficiency in managing complex financial operations.


Her professional success is deeply rooted in a philosophy of resilience and "paying it forward." A former scholarship recipient herself, Janice is a dedicated community advocate who focuses on breaking cycles of poverty through education and direct support. She actively mentors the next generation, instilling principles of self-determination and philanthropy while providing essential resources like tuition assistance and books to families in need.


In 2025, Janice transitioned into a leadership role as a Director at Fancy Frenz, having been a committed member since 2018. In this capacity, she integrates her extensive financial background with her passion for social impact to drive the organization’s strategic goals. Supported by her husband, Mark, she continues to focus on empowering the less fortunate and creating lasting, positive change within her community.

Alethea "Nicky" Bryan - Creative Advisor - US

Nicky is a dedicated core team contributor at Fancy Frenz, where she leverages a deep-seated passion for community development to drive the organization’s mission forward. Rooted in a personal commitment to service, she plays a vital role in ensuring the team’s initiatives translate into tangible support for those who need it most. For Nicky, being part of this core leadership team is more than a responsibility; it is a vital way to remain connected to her heritage while fostering growth in the communities that shaped her.


Central to Nicky’s work is a focus on youth empowerment and uplifting the next generation back home in Jamaica. She believes that consistent, purposeful action is the key to breaking cycles of hardship, and she looks forward each year to contributing to initiatives that provide children with the resources and inspiration necessary to succeed. This dedication to giving back is a cornerstone of her personal philosophy, viewing service as a lifelong commitment to those in need.


As a representative of Fancy Frenz, Nicky embodies the organization’s core values of purpose, unity, and selfless service. She is honored to contribute to a movement that prioritizes collective impact, working alongside her team to ensure the organization remains a beacon of hope. Through her ongoing contributions, Nicky continues to inspire lasting change and strengthen the bond between the organization and the underserved communities it serves.
